IS YOUR FAVORITE BALLPARK SUSTAINABLE?
Are we sad about the recent Nationals loss in the playoffs? Yes! Definitely! Some would call it heart-breaking. But we are still proud of them on and off the field for what they accomplished this season.
In fact, when it comes to conservation, they score big. The Washington Nationals new stadium was certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The field, built on a former brownfield site, has a state-of-the-art water filtration system, energy efficient lighting, a recycling program and eco-friendly services like VIP parking for hybrid vehicles.
So while the season is over, join us in celebrating the efforts our local stadium, and others around the country, that are making significant changes to be environmentally friendly – and saving millions on water and energy annually. Check out these All-Star sustainability stats on our very own ValleyCrestTakesOn.com water management blog.
And remember; now we can be proud of our Nationals in a new way. Now that’s a grand slam in my book!
